Art that draws me into its story or lets me create my own is what awes me. I am often moved by Maria Gomez’s colors, disconcerted by her intimacies, and intrigued by the symbolism she carries throughout her works — they are thoughtful explorations of being.
Diane Kaylor, New York Writer, Editor, and Theosophical Student.
The art of Maria Gomez is certainly eclectic in approach, and that I feel is because each piece is a response to something that is vital and meaningful in her life at the time of creation. Whether working in an abstract vein or “realistic,” working with oils, watercolor, sculpture or collage, her use of color and form always has a beauty to it. Maria’s art is layered with a symbolism that resonates deep within the viewer with its universal overtones. I hope more people have the chance to experience her art as she further presents it to the public.

Maria Gomez’s body of work is a masterful exposition of the higher mind that humanity should strive towards! Her work sends a message and is both beautiful and moving at the same time. I own one of her paintings of an Angel and I am comforted every time I look at it.
Annamaria Carlisi, Contracts Manager/Theosophical Student.
Some people are born master painters and María is one of these amazingly talented avatars of modern and surreal art. I have looked at this painter’s artwork and my jaw dropped. She will be famous; she will be known as a magician with a wand as a paint brush. You are born with this talent: it cannot be taught. When you look at her paintings you become one with the canvas. Witness her art and you will know I am right.
Viviana Duncan, Writer/Performer/Dancer.
María is a well-disciplined artist, yet a free spirited individual whose universal and multidimensional inspiration is woven into every one of her creations.
Ana M. Rodriguez, Former Hospital Ombudsman.
María Gómez has presented her art at several exhibitions sponsored by The Theosophical Society: The Wadsworth Atheneum Museum (Hartford, Ct.), Pumpkin Hollow Retreat Center (Craryville, NY) and the International Theosophy Convention at The Bohemian National Hall (New York City). They have all featured her work, received with interest and praise.
